Our mission is to gather and share information on all kinds of harps and
harp music.
In this site, you will find photos, essays, artwork, and information
about music for the harp. Historical harp, folk harp, pedal harp and harp
building are already included, with more articles to come. You will also
find information suitable for harp students, teachers, composers and the
general public.
Resources for composition, playing styles and technique
will eventually be included, and with relevant links to related topics,
including profiles of famous performers, the harp in ensembles, various
folk, jazz/pop and ethnic harps. All these are a part of the spectrum.
Our
authors come from many different countries and backgrounds. We are still
seeking new articles, so if you have
something you'd like to share, feel free to
contact us.
Please note that this site is under on-going construction
and changes frequently as submissions are received. Currently, this site
includes audio clips and images so that you can see and hear samples of the
harps talked about, as well as the artists who play them. We hope that these
will greatly enhance your enjoyment and understanding of the diverse
articles that we're presenting. Come on in and enjoy! Indeed!
